BestiZ are a Woozen's pet companion in Woozworld. There are many pet species to adopt, and each pet can be named, personalised, and trained to complete skills and tricks.
Pets require daily attention such as walking, feeding, cleaning, training, and interacting. Each pet species have different abilities and skills. A pet owner crafts and farms food to feed their pets. They can also design virtual spaces for their pets with interactive pet toys and items, including beds, bowls, toys, baths, and accessories, that each pet can interact and play with. For every skill and interaction a pet completes, they earn XP and skill points. There are 99 pet levels to unlock for each pet. Pets owners can look after their pets by a number of ways with the pet commands, skills, cleaning, and crafting and farming their foods to feed them.
You can adopt one for free and learn the basics of caring for them by heading to your Quest Journal and meeting up with Professor Maple at the Rescue Center. The pet system comes with a range of pet features, such as pet XP, levels, skill points, tricks, training, foods, toys, crafting, farming, and items. A BestiZ can be trained with several skills (.e.g. follow, wave, sit, trigger, move to, play, speed, kick ball, kick range, backflip, etc). Each skill has its own level progression.
Gameplay[]
BestIZ are adorable creatures that play, cuddle, keep us company, and, occasionally, do silly things that we hope to catch on camera. For every action and interaction your BestZ performs, and for every skill trick it completes, it earns rounds of XP. It will also earn XP for playing with interactive toys and items. Your BestiZ will also earn XP by doing different activities: sleeping, climbing on furniture, playing with toys and balls, taking a bath, etc. Make sure to keep them occupied if you want to teach them new skills. To unlock skills a pet must earn several rounds of skill points. Your BestiZ will earn one skill point every time they earn enough XP (Experience Points) to level up. All of your BestiZ can reach up to Level 99. Every BestiZ starts small, but will grow over time as they level up. A BestiZ can be designed with its own unique colours and garments. You can use 1 Recolor Token to change your BestiZ colors as often as you want by accessing its Wardrobe.
You can access the list of all the BestiZ that you own by clicking on the pet button in the menu. Users can adopt different species from ShopZ. Not all BestiZ can learn the same tricks, some are specific to certain species. There are certain species of BestiZ that have access to different styles of clothing and accessories. Click on your BestiZ level to open their skills window, then activate any skill or trick by using your skill points. Teach them the "Play" and "Kick Ball" skills to help them get used to playing with all sorts of toys and interactive items. The higher the skill level, the more it will encourage your BestiZ to play with more toys. A little while after eating, your BestiZ will need to take care of business. If you want to prevent them from doing it directly on the floor, you'll need to teach them the "Litter Usage" skill and get them a litter box. You'll need to empty it before it's full, or else your BestiZ won't be able to use it.
A BestiZ can be trained with several commands (.e.g. follow, wave, sit, trigger, move to, play, speed, kick ball, kick range, etc). Each skill has its own level progression. There are at least five stages of each skill, with your pet becoming more independent and skilled throughout the progression, to eventually completing larger skills. You can set a home for your BestiZ and use the call command to let it follow you around the game world with you. Other Woozens can click on it to view its skill level. Your pet can be cleaned by placing baths in a space. The pet will eventually learn how to climb into the bath and clean themselves.
Your BestiZ will "hibernate" one hour after you leave your Unitz, if no other Woozens stop by to visit. While they hibernate they'll stop drinking, eating and leveling up. If a Woozen visits your Unitz (even while you're away), this will still wake your BestiZ (then they'll go back to hibernate one hour after there's no more activity in your Unitz). Feeding your BestIZ requires crafting, farming, and resources. Each pet has its own unique foods. Different sources of water have been hidden around Woozworld. You can collect free water from each source every few hours. If you collected excess amounts of water that you don't need, you can sell it on the Marketplace for a few Beex. Head to the BestiZ Boutique run by Nurse Joyce to craft and farm your own food for your BestiZ, or head to ShopZ to purchase some High Quality & Premium food. In addition, users can earn pet foods to feed their BestiZ by farming and growing plants. Woozens can also sell their excess food on the Marketplace. Your BestiZ will earn XP anytime they eat or drink. Make sure you listen to them when they tell you they're hungry or thirsty. High-Quality and Premium BestiZ Food will give them even more XP, if you wish to level them up faster. A pet will inform you they need water or feeding with icons above it. Other Woozen's BestiZ can eat and drink the water and food from the bowls in your Unitz when they visit. If you don't want that share, you simply have to lock your bowls, then only your BestiZ will be able to use it.

History[]
Pets were first introduced on Woozworld in 2011 as WooPetZ. They were first introduced in the Store in 2011, and were also found in Wuzzles prior to their retirement. WooPetZ were Woozworld's friendly animal companions. Players could purchase a wide variety of WooPetZ species and play with them using the pet feature. They could own as many WooPetz as they wanted, but only one could accompany them at a time.
Just like real kittens and puppies, WooPetZ demanded your attention and tons of love. Every WooPetZ had a meter that told owners if it is hungry or not. If it is too hungry then your WooPetZ will no longer be able to follow you around and go for walks.To avoid this, owners had to keep a close eye on their WooPetZ meter and feed it with WooPetZ foodz. This was a new type of foodz that was specially designed to keep your WooPetZ satisfied. You could find this special food and also many accessories for your WooPetZ from the WooPetZ Shop. There was no limit to how many loveable WooPetZ you could own, but only one at a time can follow you around. You are also free to choose the color of your WooPetZ and give it a unique name. In 2012, they were downgraded to a ShopZ feature with their foods, and the WooPetZ Shop was discontinued.

They required less work than BestIZ, but required some levels of training, feeding, and cleaning. Owners could also use a few tricks to play with their pets and see their pet collection from the "My WooPetZ" paw button. Other Woozens could see your WoozPetZ collection by clicking on the pet icon on your profile. The WooPetZ Shop Unitz was later introduced from the navigator. In 2015, a new version of the WooPetZ interface system was released, with some advancements. WooPetZ no longer required cleaning or feeding, and were independent. The last new WoozPetZ to be released was the elephant.
With the Woozworld 10 launch in 2020 and desktop transition to Unity, Woozworld stated in an announcement confirming the removal of WoozPetZ from the desktop game. WoozPetZ were not introduced on the mobile application before hand, and remained a desktop exclusive feature. Woozworld stated they hope to return pets at a later date. They were removed from ShopZ, but Woozens who bought them can still keep them and they did not need to be fed, trained, or cleaned.
In a large update in December 2021, a year later from their discontinuation, WoozPetZ returned under a new name and direction. They are now named BestiZ. The pet system had a large overhaul, introducing a new system and pet mechanics, such as pet XP, levels, skill points, tricks, crafting, training, foods, toys, and interactive items. New pets were also introduced for players to adopt. The character Professor Maple and the Rescue Center made its debut, with a few other characters. Players have to now find resources around Woozworld and craft foods at the brand new BestiZ Boutique run by Nurse Joyce to feed their pets and keep them well fed. The pet system and experience was now more advanced, with different sets of skills for most pets, and dozens of interactive items that pets can play with for XP.
During Easter 2022, a new way to acquire a pet was introduced to the game, with incubator machines. Users can buy eggs from the Chick Egg Mystery GrabZ and use the incubator machines to hatch a chick. Each egg takes time to hatch. Each egg has a different coloured Chick BestiZ to hatch with sets of garments. The Incubator is sold in ShopZ and can be placed in your Unitz. The BestiZ Park was introduced in 2022, a hangout spot for pet owners to let their pets meet and play with the interactive toys.
During the Prom 2022 dragon theme, dragon eggs were introduced with different variations with Dragon BestiZ. Users could buy eggs from the Dragon Mystery GrabZ or in the Woozworld Store and use the incubator machines to hatch a dragon BestiZ. They could buy the Dragon Egg Incubator from ShopZ to help hatch their dragon BestiZ faster. They could also adopt a dragon BestiZ for free by obtaining an egg by completing a maze. Like other BestiZ, Dragons have their own tricks such as flying and breathing fire.
